Buyer- Sounds glamorous, doesn’t it?  Our buyers work 24/7 so that we can offer the BEST products at the BEST prices!  Think you’re up for the challenge?  Here’s what we like to see in applicants for this position:

  • Motivation, motivation, motivation!  You need to be a self-starter for this job.  It’s not easy, so prepare yourself to be challenged!
  • Experience.  We hire buyers who know the biz, know which products to choose, and know how to find them.
  • Education.  Education is a must.  Have a bachelor’s degree in merchandising/buying?!  We love you already!  Not so specialized, but have a bachelor’s degree and REALLY want to be a part of our family?  That’s OK, we’ll still check you out.
  • Technological Proficiency.  Let’s face it.  HB is an online business.  If you’re not too experienced with technology, it could be challenging.  We are looking for applicants who can use a spreadsheets, Word documents, email, internet searches, etc.  Make sure you let us know with your resume exactly what you’re capable of.
  • Team Player.  This goes for all HB jobs!  We’re not just a team, we’re a FAMILY.  Make sure you’re willing to work together and take constructive criticism.  It’s a must.
  • Communication.  We need you to be able to let us know what does and doesn’t work in an orderly fashion-how else can we grow?  We love employee input.  Your opinion matters to us.

Office Assistant- OK.  Seems like a simple job, right?  Not so much.  While we are a fun, family-oriented team, no HB job is simple!  We have so much going on all the time.  Not discouraged?  Check out the requirements below and contact us about the position!

  • Organization.  We need you to be the person that ensures that our managers forget nothing!  That means you have to be ready to take in massive amounts of information and put it all together in a way that can be communicated to others in an orderly fashion.
  • Technological Proficiency.  There is so, so much excitement in the HB offices and warehouse.  We would like to think that meditation could handle it all, but we need computers.  We want you to be able to use spreadsheets, MS Office, email, internet, and MORE.
  • Education.  Let us know that you know what you have been doing!  How did you learn it?  Real world experience?  College?  Something else?  We’re looking for applicants who know it all, or are willing to learn it.  Tell us about your experience.  Don’t be shy, we like everybody J.

Web Developer- Love HTML?  Want to make a name for yourself?  Is QWERTY the first word to your theme song?  HB is ready to fulfill your Java-based dreams…sneak a peek at what we’re looking for:

  • Self-Starter.  So, we don’t like to be redundant, but HB is our baby J.  We need you to be able to help us determine what the site needs and what we can do to make it better.
  • Experience.  In an ideal world, we’d like to think that our developer has 5+ years of experience.  Don’t have the experience, but you’re the Luke Skywalker of web development?  OK, we’ll talk J.
  • Master Evaluator/Planner.  See something on HB that isn’t working as well as it should/could (We’re great, but nobody’s perfect.)?  We want you to be able to identify problems, formulate solutions, and let us know how long it will take to implement new strategies.
  • Social Networking Guru.  Have over 1000 friends on Facebook?   10,000 Twitter followers who know when you even so much as go to the bathroom?  Excellent!  You’re perfect for the position of letting our customers know the up-to-the-minute bargains on the most amazing products.  Who wants to miss a deal?  Nobody!  That’s why HB needs a social networking master.

Marketer- Want to work for a company that is so great that it barely needs marketing?  Tired of writing for businesses that need to be sold to the public?  You’re in luck!  HB is such a win-win situation, that all you have to do is offer us exposure!  See if you qualify, then shoot us an email with your resume, we’re excited to hear from you.  A few points you should address:

  • Education.  Our marketing team is highly skilled.  We want to be sure that you have learned the best skills from the best teachers.  Show us your successes so that we can have a good picture of where you are in your education.  College?  Practical experience?  Tell us all about it.
  • Social Networking.  Here at HB, we believe that the NEW business is business with friends!  Our customers are not only our number one priority, but are our peers.  We want to be connected to them because we believe that’s the best way to make them happy!  Friends with everyone in the continental US?  Sounds perfect, we’ll take it!
